Welcome to "The Tudors" 100 -- a Drabbles Community!

This community was created as a place to share drabbles fanfic that focuses on the Showtimes series "The Tudors."

You'll find our current challenge listed HERE!!!

What is a drabble?

A DRABBLE is a fanfic of a specific amount of words -- no more and no less. Generally this will refer to a work of exactly 100 words. Often a drabble is written in answer to a 'Fic Challenge' (or Fic Contest) -- and a certain number of words will be specified (such as 100, 200, 300, 400 or 500 words).

Drabbles began in British SF fandom in the late 1980's. (The term originates from a Monty Python skit: "Drabble. A word game for 2 to 4 players. The four players sit from left to right and the first person to write a novel wins.") A drabble should not be confused with a ficlet.

Our membership is open -- and we plan to keep it that way. Note that all entries here are 'friends only' filtered/locked, which means you need to join to view them.

Yes -- this community is both slash and RP friendly. If either slash or RP (real people) fanfic offends you, please don't join.

Please be sure to read our community RULES.

Ignorance of the rules is no excuse, so please take time to read these over. THANKS!

How do members participate?

Once a week (each Sunday) a moderator will post a CHALLENGE topic. Members have until MIDNIGHT (United States Pacific Time) on the following Saturday to post a response (or multiple responses) in the form of a drabble that ranges from 100 to 500 words.

We highly encourage people to offer FEEDBACK (comments) in response to all drabbles shared here.

Aside from sharing drabbles, we hope to have DISCUSSION that focuses on drabbles and drabble writing -- as well as topics discussing the series "The Tudors."

As a fan of this series we assume you know the content is mature, which means any media based on the show might reflect this. Mature content should be placed behind an lj-cut tag -- with suitable warnings outside the cut.

Please check our RULES about the use of lj-cut tags! Because these warnings will be in place, there shouldn't be any reason for members to complain about explicit content being shared here -- however if explicit content is offensive to you, this probably isn't the right community for you.

This community is moderated by brn_gamble Brian (or Bri) and just_jimbo Jimbo (Jim or Jimmy). Any questions (and/or suggestions) can be directed to us via comments or email (if necessary).

See more about contacting us in the community RULES.

Allow a reasonable amount of time for us to respond, PLEASE. We have very busy lives away from our LiveJournal activities...

THANKS!
